The holiday season may have a different meaning for each of us. Some may find joy in giving presents while others may volunteer their time at their favorite charitable organization. In Hartford, CT 3-D Bail Bonds celebrates the holiday season with a unique event, a “Holiday Toy Drive.”

Every year since 2014, this Hartford-based bail bonds company has been hosting its unique Toy Drive, benefitting many local institutions in the area. This year, team 3-D enjoyed the giving holiday season with the Salvation Army of Greater Hartford by bringing over 100 toys along with a cash donation matched by the company. 2022 marked the company’s 9th Annual Holiday Toy Drive.

Besides team 3-D and business owners’ donations, the agency was blessed with the generosity of strangers who found our holiday event by searching online. These donors who chose to use only their first names, Christie, Doris, and Cynthia, arrived at our Hartford and New Britain offices with bags of toys and needed items for families in need. Agents at the office were so grateful not only for the donations but for the trust these thoughtful individuals placed in 3-D Bail Bonds.

Holiday Season 2022

Last Friday, December 16th, the company delivered all donations during the morning show hosted by Will Marotti at WTIC News Talk 1080. The live broadcast was transmitted from the Holiday Store at Homewood Suites by Hilton in Glastonbury CT. 3-D Bail Bonds’ owners Dan and Drew were invited for an on-air interview to talk about the industry along with what is like to be a bondsman here in Connecticut.

Bail Bonds Talk

Host Will openly asked about which said the bondsman is in these days, as bail reform is still a topic nationwide. Experienced bondsman Drew shared the accountability factor when using his services under surety bail and the impact on the community. By paying bail with the assistance of a surety bondsman, the defendant is motivated to attend court hearings as they know when they miss court, their bond will forfeit and a warrant for their arrest would be issued.

Another aspect of the interview offered a clear idea of the bail system and its process. Licensed Bail Agent Dan explained how after someone is accused of a crime, they have the right to be released on bail for the remaining of their pretrial if they follow bail conditions.

The conversation went on about surety bail and how it allows families to afford bail keeping them motivated to come back to court.  Dan shared that bail is the tool to equalize the scales of justice. Just like defendants have the right to reasonable bail and a fair trial, victims too should have their day in court so justice can be served. In a few words, without an accountable system to secure the accused shows up to court victims could be left in limbo awaiting justice indefinitely.

Team 3-D Bail Bonds once again accomplished another successful Toy Drive this holiday season! Special thanks to the Salvation Army, Miss Holly, and Will Marotti for sharing our story. We look forward to hosting many more events in the years to come and wish you all a Happy Holiday Season.
