“Troconis was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, tampering with evidence, and hindering the prosecution by a jury consisting of three men and three women.”

Michele Troconis Attorney Jon Schoenhorn of Jon L Schoenhorn & Associates LLC shared his future steps towards the case on his way out from the Stamford Superior Court. But there was one important tip for the public to pay close attention to.

Troconis’ Attorney made a strong recommendation for people facing criminal charges to never discuss the case with police investigators without speaking with their attorney first because everything they say can be used against them.

According to court documents, Troconis has changed her statements on three occasions. Furthermore, the interrogations that took place on the day of her arrest also served as key elements during this trial.

Don’t Talk to The Police: If You Are Under Investigation the Police Are Not There to Help

“Don’t talk to the police” is a well-known line by attorneys and even bail bondsmen. When someone is arrested, they call for help to bond out but without realizing it, sometimes they talk about the case. Remember prison calls are recorded. Under no circumstance, someone accused of a crime should be discussing details with police without legal representation, says bail bondsman Drew especially if they don’t have an idea about the possible charges against them.

Just Criminal Law recently shared 5 reasons why you should not talk to the police. The firm explains the police won’t use a person’s statement to prove their innocence, they will use it to prove the accused is guilty.

About Michelle Troconis’ New 6 Million Bond and Bail Conditions

We asked Bail Bondsman Drew of 3-D Bail Bonds in Connecticut about Michelle Troconis’ bond status. Drew says, “While the Judicial site shows a 1.5 million bond posted, her attorney stated she was out on 2.1 million, and today the judge raised her bond to 6 million. This means she will have to post the additional amount to get out while awaiting sentencing or appeals. If that amount is 3.9 million, the fee for a bondsman to post it would be $273,150. A reputable company might not take her out without collateral due to a heightened risk of flight to another country due to the verdicts and her dual citizenship.”

Troconis’s attorney shared that even if she was to make bail, it wouldn’t happen today. The family is presumed to be working with a bail bond agency.

UPDATE:

On March 14, a judge granted to modify Michelle Troconis bond conditions. If she is released on bond, she must live in Connecticut and will be fitted with an electronic monitoring device. As Bail Bondsman Drew explained she is considered a flight risk. The court also must know where she will be living as she will be subject to home confinement while out on bond.

Soon after the verdict, Michelle Troconis was taken into custody at the Stamford Superior Courthouse. As with any other defendants arrested in court, she is headed to the Women’s Correctional Institution in Niantic CT transported in the judicial prison van.
