Notable People Born in Middletown

Dean Acheson, born in 1893 is one of the most notable from the city. Acheson served as the United States Secretary of State for both of President Harry Truman’s terms, from 1945 to 1953. Having large roles in the Korean War, Acheson also helped develop the Marshall Plan, Truman Doctrine, and North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Another popular face that was born in Middletown is Joey Logano. Born in 1990, Logano is best known for being a professional NASCAR driver. Holding the record for the youngest winner of a Nationwide Series race, he also became the youngest winner of a Cup Series. He is also the youngest driver to win two of NASCAR’s top divisions. Logano is also the youngest to ever win both a Cup and Xfinity Series, and in 2018, Logano won the NASCAR Cup Series Championship.
