Common Questions About Juvenile Arrests and Release on Bail
If your child has been detained, don’t wait. Contact our juvenile bond specialists now for immediate assistance and clear guidance on what to do next.
- How does juvenile detention differ from adult jail? A minor’s detention center, like Manson Youth, requires specific documentation from parents and judges. The guardian must bring the defendant’s birth certificate to start the process. Most juvenile bail bonds are set as a “court-only bond”. It requires a court hearing in front of the judge.
- What does “juvenile bond” or “juvenile release” mean? It means the person in jail is underage, and while juvenile bail releases most defendants from incarceration, due to the age, this minor must be released only to parents or supervising guardians.
- What steps do families need to take if they need to post bail? Contacting a local and reputable bail bond agency is the most important step to ensure you have an experienced professional assisting you through the juvenile bail bond process until the case is adjudicated.
When Your Child Is Facing a Detention Matter, Our Experienced Team Is Here To Provide Compassionate Guidance
We understand the uncertainty and fear parents feel when they experience their child’s arrest. For many parents, it’s their first time dealing with police and criminal charges. At 3-D Bail Bonds, we offer compassionate, respectful, and confidential juvenile bail bond services, ensuring parents feel welcome to speak with us.
Our goal is to guide parents and caregivers through the complicated system with simple words and keep them informed along the way. Parents calling for services are in shock, upset, and sometimes unable to explain the situation. This is when a well-trained agent is patient and understanding.
In a recent call, a hard-working mother called with a simple request: “I need you in Manchester right now; I just need to get my baby home.” Bondsman Dan rushed to the police department as the office staff worked out the details of the bond and verified information. This mother was desperate; you can hear it in her voice.
“Being available on short notice is essential. A bond can be processed and posted before it is raised or before the juvenile is sent to a larger prison. It’s all about time and knowledge”, says bail bondsman Drew Bloom.

Pay Attention and Read What Is Advised:
What should I do if the police stop me or think I have committed a crime?
Don’t run!
Running from the police is a crime called Interfering with the Police. If you run, you will get charged with this crime even if you did nothing else wrong.
Be respectful!
Calling the police names or acting rude or disruptive will not help you and may get you charged with more crimes. You must always give the police your correct name and age or they can also charge you with Interfering with the Police.
Be Silent!
Other than your name, address and age, you do not have to answer any other questions. This is called having “the right to remain silent.” You have the right to have your parent or guardian and your attorney with you if you are being questioned by the police. Ask for an attorney right away. You have the right to a free lawyer if you and your family cannot afford one. If the police have probable cause to arrest you, they likely will no matter what you say. Do not resist arrest if they want to arrest you. Go with the police officer and remain silent. Most of the time talking will not help you.
Stay silent and wait until someone has contacted an attorney for you or you are able to call one yourself. Once you have your lawyer present, they will help you decide when you should talk and what you should say.
Other questions in the guide explain where juveniles attend court. How a case can be transferred and when a juvenile can be tried as an adult in a criminal Superior Court.
