Looking towards the end of July and the beginning of August, there are a few highly-advertised events that are set to have turnouts that mirror pre-pandemic times, with guests from all over New England traveling to catch these popular shows. Let’s explore some of the latest Hartford events this summer, happening right in your neighborhood.

Upcoming Hartford Events this Summer

Entertainment is back with many Hartford events this summer 2021. The Xfinity Center, better known as the Hartford Theatre, has a few upcoming and notable attractions in the coming days and months. Holding a seating area of 7,500 and an open lawn to hold an additional 22,500, the Xfinity Center in Hartford can hold about 30,000 spectators at full capacity.

With Luke Bryan and Caylee Hammack taking the stage on July 16th and the Black Crowes playing on July 25th, the theater has open seating inside the venue all the way to the open lawn sections. Fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear a face covering.

Similarly, the Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Hartford is open for business this summer, as the arena’s home baseball team, the Hartford Yard Goats, is set to play games on July 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st, and August 1st. The venue can hold about 6,000 people at full capacity, with social distancing measures currently set in place by arena staff. All sections will have certain seats blocked off in an effort to socially distance guests from one another.

Common Arrests at Hartford Summer Concerts

With concerts and sporting Hartford events this summer making their way back into our lives, a fairly common occurrence that could happen are sudden arrests. Our professional bail agents at 3-D Bail Bonds emphasize the importance of staying safe in situations where an arrest may be possible. Spectators can easily be arrested at concerts or sporting events by sneaking in certain banned or illegal substances, such as alcohol (if it’s not allowed) and illegal drugs.

It is also common to see people who tried entering illegally into an entertainment event to be arrested as well, although security will usually let these people off with just being kicked out of the venue. Spectators at sporting events or concerts who are too rowdy, try to run onto the stage or field, bring in illegal objects or weapons, or who are disturbing the peace of others will most likely be arrested or asked to leave the venue as well. Here are seven common reasons college students get arrested some while at local concerts.

If you live in Hartford, the biggest bust for underage drinking happened in 2017 when Hartford police and EMTs simply couldn’t keep up. Hartford’s ambulance provider had to call in additional resources and some patients had to be taken to hospitals in Farmington, Manchester and New Britain. 90 people ended up hospitalized and 50 charged with underage drinking at the Hartford’s “Hot Jam” summer concert.
